I hear you.

Some of us did point to Twitch, and also Discord, as well as the use of gaming platforms. But it’s hard to underestimate just how little attention academics play to gaming. It’s something for children (I hear this one a surprising amount), or it’s scary/violent, or just for boys (still hear this), or I just don’t have time for it.

Plus don’t forget how one of Zoom’s attractions was, and now is even more so, ease of use — i.e., ease of being able to teach it. Streaming services often add more complexity.
